Bridge to Practice

Loyola Law School is pleased to announce the continuation of the Bridge to Practice Fellowship program.  which is coordinated by the Office of Career Services and the Public Interest Law Department. The program provides paid legal experience to recent graduates who have not yet secured post-bar employment. Fellows will have the opportunity to work with government or public interest agencies after passing the bar exam. The agencies will work with fellows to determine schedules and duties.  

If selected for the program, you will make arrangements to work with a government or public interest agency of your choice.  The Law School will provide a stipend of $3000 for 200 hours of service and you will receive payment after completion of the 200 hours and submission of an invoice.   Starting dates are limited to the time period between January and February 2015.  

Should you find other employment, prior to beginning this program, you will not be obligated to participate.  You will just need to send notification that you have secured a position.   

To apply, complete the application form below by April 30, 2014. Candidates who are selected for the program will be notified by May 16, 2014.  If accepted, you will have until December 12, 2014 to make final arrangements to work with a public interest or government agency. If you encounter any problems with the form, please contact the Office of Career Services at or at (213) 736-1150.
