The Lost and Found is located in and operated by the Law School Security office. The Law School Security office is located at the main entrance of the parking garage off of Albany Street.

Submit this request form, and we'll let you know if it's been turned in.

Found Articles:

Found articles should be turned in to the Law School Security office.  The Information Center and Library Circulation Desk will also accept found items and will then forward them to the Security Office for safe keeping.

Lost Article Requests:

If you have lost an article, contact Security using the Lost and Found Request Form or visit the Security Office, located at the main entrance of the parking garage off of Albany Street.  If Security Office does not have the article, you may contact the Library's Circulation Desk at x1117 and/or the Information Center at x1001 where items may be held temporarily before forwarding them to the Security Office.

Many articles take a few days to be turned in. If the article is not turned in immediately, try contacting the Security Office after 48 to 72 hours.

Found Article Disposal:

Found articles are kept at the Security Office based on the following schedule:

  • Found from the first day of fall classes until the first day of the next fall term (1 year) are kept until the first day of the next spring term.

For example, articles found during the Fall 2013, Spring 2014 or Summer 2014 term are kept until January of 2015. On the first day of the Spring 2015 term, these articles are removed from Security Office and donated, if possible, or thrown away.
