WELS exists in order to bring to Loyola Law School, a society that focuses on the advancement and recognition of women in the entertainment industry and to facilitate an open forum for all students to discuss the gender-related issues that are prevalent in the world of entertainment.
The members of WELS strive to create an accepting environment that supports its fellow members, while also opening the door to challenge the outdated norms and practices that currently impede women within this field. At the end of each school year, WELS shall hold a luncheon to recognize the achievement of notable alumnae within the fields of entertainment.
